Tony Amado’s interest in music started at a young age; a passionate dancer, he would fuse native African dance with other dance styles and struts. Influenced by his love for African music like Semba and Sungura, Tony invented the Kuduro style of music and dance, mixing local instruments, African drums, and techno beats. Kuduro became popular in the ‘90s after the release of his song “Amba Kuduro”.

O interesse de Tony Amado pela música começou cedo; um dançarino apaixonante, ele funde danças nativas africanas com outros estilos de danças. Influenciado pela sua paixão pela música africana como Semba e Sungura, Tony inventou o estilo de dança e música kuduro, misturando instrumentos locais, tambor africano, e batimentos electrónicos. Kuduro tornou-se popular na década de 90 depois de ter lançado o seu single ‘Amba Kuduro’.
